Ibitoye Media Group
UK & EU Privacy Rights
As a visitor, subscriber, or applicant you are protected by the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and — where you are in the EEA — the EU GDPR. This page explains each right and how to use it.
1.The right to be informed
You have the right to clear, transparent information about how your personal data is collected and used. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in plain language.
2.The right of access
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, together with information about how and why we process it. This is commonly called a subject access request.
3.The right to rectification
If any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct or complete it without undue delay.
4.The right to erasure
In certain circumstances you can ask us to delete your personal data — for example where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, or where you withdraw consent and no other lawful basis applies.
5.The right to restrict processing
You can ask us to pause the use of your personal data in certain situations, such as while we verify its accuracy or consider an objection you have raised.
6.The right to data portability
Where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means, you can receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller.
7.The right to object
You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, including profiling. Where you object to direct marketing, we will stop that processing immediately and without exception.
8.Rights around automated decision-making
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you. Ibitoye Media Group does not currently make such decisions about you.
How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@ibitoyemediagroup.com with your request. We will respond within one month. To protect your data we may need to verify your identity before acting.
Our services are free, and exercising your rights is free too. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive we may charge a reasonable fee or decline it, and we will always explain why.
If we cannot resolve your concern, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority in your EU member state.
Full details of how we handle data are in our Privacy Policy.
